Reply with quote | #16 | I loved my Rotti and boxer to death but I'm thinking the Irish wolfhounds I baby sat as a teen were dogs I'd love to own some day. __________________ U.S. Sentry Mastiffs |

Reply with quote | #17 | Before I got an english mastiff I had a fila.... I lost my girl almost a year ago to OA and I still miss her every day. They are the biggest babies - if only their temperament wasn't so hard. The fila would definitely be my second favorite. Here's my beautiful girl that I got from rescue....

Reply with quote | #19 | I owned a Boxer and a Lab in the past. The Lab, Otis, was my first dog that I owned as a grown up. He was a wonderful boy. He lived to be almost 14 years old. We had a wonderful bond. The boxer, Yankee, died of cancer when he was nearly 8 years old.
After I lost them both I got my first Mastiff. I don't think I'll ever own a different breed of dog. I loved my other dogs so much, but the Mastiff is truly the one and only perfect breed for me. If I ever go another route it will just be a mutt. __________________ Jennifer Patterson

Reply with quote | #20 | I would definitely go for another Dane or Boston...when my husband and I first got together he had a Dane named Ghost..he was solid black..anyways that dog became my protector and best friend very very quickly. My husband grew up with danes so it wouldn't be a far stretch for us to get another one at some point in time.
We currently have a Boston (Sissy) that is one of the funniest dogs I've ever been around. She rules the house and all of the other dogs know not to mess with her cause she will put them back in their place! LOL Poor Windie has no idea she's MUCH bigger than Sissy! Sissy is so expressive and has an opinion about everything..we absolutely wouldn't have it any other way tho! She keeps us laughing and is always sooo happy to see anyone that walks in the door! __________________ Kelly

mmmm, don't really know anything about any other breeds - but I do like bull dogs - they are just so studley . . . well, maybe not the females . . . lol. I fell in love with a chesapeake bay retriever a few weeks ago - but he was already trained - that might make a difference. I love the way dalmations look - I love grooming a little maltise that visits off and on - but he's not to yippy and not snippy at all - mmmm, Not much into pound puppies - never had good luck going that direction - Guess I'll just have to stick with Mastiffs. __________________ Denise K |

We purchased our little second favorite breed. His name is Gus and he is a Miniature Dachshund. He thinks he's a mastiff does that count? __________________ Brian & Brenda and the boys |
